Our approach is to combine Diversified adjustment technique with soft tissue treatment (eg. Myofascial Release Therapy, Flexion Distraction Technique, Instrumental Assisted Soft Tissue MobilizationKinesio Taping) and rehab exercises to ensure her patient receives a well-rounded care.

At the same time, she strives to provide evidence-informed and collaborative care by constantly reviewing the latest researches and working with other health care professionals including medical doctors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists, etc.

Our Story

Willow Glen Chiropractic was previously owned by Dr. Patrick Lum, Dr. Johanna Gan and Dr. Jessie Hsieh since 1999, whom entrusted Dr. Jackie’s skills and commitment to high quality care to take over the clinic in 2018.

Dr. Jackie Muxen graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, West Campus with clinical excellence and Central Washington University with Bachelors of Science in Clinical Physiology with a Specialty in Sports Science.

She grew up in Tenino, Washington where her passion for sports began at a young age. Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Jackie worked as a personal trainer for two years and she was on the soccer, volleyball, track and field, and cheerleading team while in school.

With a particular interest in sports injury, she worked with athletes from San Jose State University Rugby Team, San Jose State Track Team, Pro Indoor Soccer players, Jiu Jitsu athletes, and cyclists from Wheels for Meals.

Dr. Jackie draws from a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Kinesio/Rock-taping and instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, allows her to individualize treatment plans to every patient’s needs.

It is Dr. Jackie’s passion to help people in all level of fitness to get and stay healthy. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three adorable dogs and hanging out with her fiance playing soccer, weight training, and taking their boat out from Santa Cruz harbor. She is incredibly pleased to be joining the Willow Glen community.

 

Dr. Jessie (I-Ching) Hsieh was born in Taiwan and later continued her education in Canada where she graduated with a Life Science Degree from Queen’s University and Magna Cum Laude with Clinic Honors at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She’s fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Chiropractic has inspired Dr. Jessie to work with people of all ages to reach their optimal health and performance goals. She has experience working with infants, children, pregnancy related conditions, and athletes of all levels, including elite athletes in fields such as soccer, martial arts and gymnastics.

Dr. Jessie is loved by her patients not only for her skills and professionalism, but also for her warm, caring nature and attention to detail. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, and going to local events with her husband and friends. She is currently no longer accepting new patients and will be moving to China with her husband at the end of 2018.
